Thermal Data Logging - Images and Excel Spreadsheet

DESCRIPTION:

I was interested in how the in fender temperatures compared to what was
making it to the throttle body. While I was at it I put a few
thermocouples in other places that were of interest to me. I have a custom
intake that has a built in heat shield. The end of the opening is close to
the holes in the fender but aren't directly plumbed to it. I wanted to see
if I need to make the connection.

I took temps at these locations while driving around:

- In the fender where the silencer usually sits
- The spot behind the passenger headlamp where the OEM intakes get's its air.
- Just inside the Heat Shield of my airfilter
- On the lower support to the MAF, this should be a similar location to
where an open element filter will be grabbing air.
- Inside the second air box attached to the TB. I took off a hose and
stuck it in there.
- Just below the Air Scoop's opening into the back of the motor bay.

I have the data plotted in XL format. I saved it in ver 5/7.0. I also
took some pics to show the exact locations of the units. The Data loggers
have an internal sensor and one on the end of a wire. Recordings were
taken at 10 second intervals. I used a total of 3 loggers. The loggers
themselves are traceable and were calibrated less than a year ago.

I do this stuff at work so I figured what the heck.
