Pitch Link Retrofit

Pitch Link retrofit:

The new link is from a 95' L Impreza. It is larger in height by about
double. The rubber isolator that sits by the fire wall is made of stiffer
material. The part numbers stamped on the links appear to be the same but
they are obviously different. I got mine from Dale Teague of Teague's
auto. I'm not sure how but he know's which one is which :^)

Tools Needed:

Screw driver - for hose clamps on second air box
10mm socket - for bolts holding second airbox
14mm socket and open end - to remove pitch link bolts

The pitch link is located just under the second airbox. (the big black
plastic box attached to the throttle body) First you have to remove
this. It's simple, pop off the 3 hoses connected to it with the pinch
clamps. Loosen the two hose clamps holding the box and then remove the 2 -
10mm bolts to the left and right. Once that is off you can see the pitch
link. The bolt by the fire wall is easy to remove with just a
socket. The nut on the other side of the bolt is welded to the mounting
point. The bolt on the motor needs an open on the other side as that bolt
will turn. Just remove the bolts and slide out the link and put the new
one in it's place and bolt it back in there. Note that for proper
orientation of the link there is an arrow that should be on the top side of
the link pointing towards the front of the car.
