FogLight Covers![]()
INFORMATION:
I got my covers from Primitive Enterprises
They came in less than a week. Paul e-mail me they were on the way and they showed up when he said they would.
(USPS)
These are copies of the STI fog lamp covers, the type that need a screw to hold them in place. They came unpainted,
rather than have them done at a body shop I opted to paint them myself. The match isn't perfect but it's not all
that bad either. I used some clear coat on top of the silver paint.
Basically all you have to do after having them painted is:
Install a small button on the bottom with a single screw*.
Drill a hole for the screw that secures the cover.
Remove the fog lamp (3-10mm bolts)
Put the cover in place insert an awl or something through the screw hole to
mark the spot the screw will go.
Drill the hole for the screw.
Replace the fog lamp
Put the covers on and secure with the screw
* I went to put the cover on and it didn't go on all the way at first. It took me a few minutes but I discovered
that the screw that holds the button on was sticking up and hitting the fog lamp lens. I just took some snips and
clipped off the point.
It sounds a lot more complicated than it is. The fit is good and I think they look nice. Best of all they should
protect my fog lamps. Paul has the STI stickers too but I'm not into stickers.
