Fiamm Horn - Installation Guide and Images

The horns I installed cost something like 20 bucks and sound really
loud. They are the trumpet type FIAMM style.

Basically what I did was remove the stock horn and used that spot to mount
one of the horns and mounted the other horn using a bolt by the ABS
unit. I ran the wires from the passenger side horn under the grill (after
removing it) to the OEM wiring harness and tapped into it. So I have both
horns running off of the OEM wiring. I haven't had any trouble with the
relay. It handles both horns just fine. The grill comes off very
easily. There are 2 holes on the top side of the grill that you can see
after you lift the hood. I think there are pics of this. What you have to
do is put a small screw driver down there and press on the release clip
. Pull the grill away towards you enough to clear the hole and them pull
up/out and it will come right off.

I made my own wiring harness with wire and electrical tape. I just
measured out the wire and then wrapped it tight with the tape. I secured
everything with wire ties. I just used the Vampire taps to tap into the
OEM horn wire for the passenger side horn.

The horns I used are called WoLo or something like that. They have 2 wire
attachments and not one. This is the same as the OEM horn. If you can
find FIAMM that's even better. I have done the same thing to my wife's
Outback with the FIAMMs but I can't find them anymore. The ones I have are
exactly the same as far as I can tell, down to the color.

The horns only came with mounting brackets, no wire. I used wire a little
thicker than the stock wire. It's something like 16 gauge. Like Speaker
wire. The wire I used was the stuff I got with the PIAA fog lamps I got
for my wife's car. But you can pick up a spool at the auto parts place. I
got the taps at the auto parts store too. They are the type that go over a
wire and you lay the wire you want to connect to by it and clamp down, it
makes a connection by biting through the cover of each. Make sure you get
the right tap for the right wire size. Were you able to see the pics
OK. I haven't looked at them for a while.

I almost forgot. you'll also need those spade connectors (female type) for
the other horn. The OEM wire ends have spades that fit right on the
horns. And one more thing I almost forgot. Remove the battery to do the
work by the drivers side. I tried to do it at first with it there, but it
was impossible.
